Wharton Digital Press is proud to announce that Kenneth L. Shropshire and Collin D. Williams, Jr’s The Miseducation of the Student Athlete: How to Fix College Sports has earned an Axiom Business Book Award, receiving a bronze medal in the business ethics category.
Published in November 2017, The Miseducation of the Student Athlete is also a 2018 Digital Book Award Finalist for Best Social Impact Book. The book draws on new research to reveal that it has become increasingly difficult for college athletes to balance school and sports, much less a social life, leading to serious economic, professional, and emotional consequences for young people.
According to the Axiom Business Book Awards, “the Axiom Business Book Awards are designed to celebrate excellence in business book writing and publishing by presenting gold, silver and bronze medals in 22 business categories, and to recognize the innovative, intelligent, and creative aspects of new business books that make us think, see, and work differently every day.”
Award winners will be honored during BookExpo America the week of May 28-June 2, 2018.
